Aquastat stop bypass?

My indirect water heater has a L4006A aquastat that has a factory set stop limit of 140* (gauge goes to 180). I'd like to adjust it to 150 and dial in a differential temperature of 25 to always keep the unit above 135. Can the stop be bypassed or removed?
