We have a well McLain oil furnace shutting down. The error code is the thermostat. Does that mean it needs to be replaced?

Might need a battery. What furnace, what control, what thermostat, what error code?
Is this a new thermostat or one you've had for a while

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Hi there, Is it if you feel that some rooms are too cold while others are too hot? If your furnace is not able to distribute the air properly to keep you comfortable and is quite old, then furnace repair service NJ can be needed or may be even require replacement.
