New steam line

I am fixing a new steam line that was plumbed incorrectly. Recently, I received a lot of valuable info on this subject from you guys ( see "steam radiator moved and new line plumbed with 1 inch copper" nov.29). My question now is do I have the design of the new main correct? I have attached a pic of the copper line and a diagram of what I think the new main should look like. Also, until my buddy can do this can I cap the main where the reducer is?Any insight is greatly appreciated.

It is a one pipe counter flow system.0

You can cap that main at the reducer. Your proposed drawing should work fine.0
