minuteman II --domestic water lukewarm

Hi all,
last year, our unit (minuteman II) provided very hot showers, and now that it is cold again, we have noticed that the showers, and washing dishes, the hot water does not get very hot even with no cold mixed in. Well, it is quite hot for a few seconds only, then the showers are quite disappointing.
Is there anything i can adjust that might help?
many thanks
steve

Hello: How about starting by checking for a cross connection? Just turn off the cold supply to the hot water side and open a hot tap. It should quit running in seconds and then fully stop. If it doesn't, you have cold water getting into the hot side. This makes for tepid showers!
