Bell and gossett ( heat not working)

I have water heating system in my two apartment building the heat was working fine yesterday but this morning the motor (bell and grosser series 100) is not running or making any noise.I changed the temperature setting to 75 to see if the heat comes on but no.What could be the reason for heat not to work.thanks.

I would say that it's something other than the motor. Before the motor starts, the thermostat has to call for heat and the relay has to close. If it were me, I would check those in that order.8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

In your case if your not sure how things work, start with power problems and go on from there. Such a wide variation of what it could be, so call your local HVAC to get it done.
