Condensing Boiler - Is this normal operation??

    Its very specific to each installation system... on my, piped P/S, the system returns are very low (30-45* deltas). Whereas the boiler delta is only 25-30* with the circ on its lowest speed and throttled (over-pumped in some ways). In my case, the system returns are always 10-15* lower than the boiler.

    What rules condensing is boiler return temps, not system. However system temps can either drive the boiler returns up or down depending on the pump speeds and deltas. I don't think you'll get any condensing above 130* (not enough to matter). Granted on a ODR, most of the season you might be condensing much more.

    Even when the boiler returns are above 130*, on my system, I get a few drops from the condensate line... but I think that's just condensation from the exhaust flue running back down the piping (condensing near the outlet to the outside). When the return temps are 80-100*, I get a good steady dripping the whole burn.
