Does anyone remember what the warranty was for the old brass Wirsbo radiant manifolds?

Thanks

I'm quite certain it was 1 year.

Now the stems are starting to leak and you can't get them no more. Have to replace the entire manifold. I wish they would leave things alone.

I believe they are the classics. The ones that are rough metal and mostly round.Would take a very tiny o-ring to repack them.
I saw one on e-bay for $100. Capitalism at its best.

Maybe look for an o-_ring replacements via local or online sources.
Most of the hydraulic hose and cylinder shops, that do construction equipment repairs, tractors, backhoes, etc, have a wide selection of standard and metric size rings in a kit. Take a ring along or use a caliper to get the diameter of the stem.

Pretty tiny o-ring, but hydraulic shop might have them. I guess I could get some for the Taco 5000 mixing valves as well. They all seem to leak after awhile, especially if you try to adjust them.

If you think they are leaking or failing prematurely, check the fluid quality.

Sometimes the "stuff" in the system from day one compromises seals.

Hardness, ph, chlorides grit, etc, etc. Chlorides are the big concern now, especially with multimetal systems. Check the ingredients on some solder fluxes! A good hydronic cleaner, even in new systems, is well worth the money.

Good point. Something to look at.
Need to get a test kit for the various things and start testing each job.

ph also. There are some dual gauges, I like separate.
No need to spend a lot of $$. the simple, inexpensive pocket meters are fine.
