    Wow...I looked at a 2 family foreclosure last week. Every stitch of copper gone, even the bb metal covers, both water heaters and one boiler. Gas and water had been shut off, good thing bc the appliances were ripped from the gas piping.

    When I worked for the power company many years ago someone climbed the fence into a substation and tried stealing the copper wire off the top of a live transformer on 110kv lines. I am not sure how much he felt, but he never did any stealing ever again. Best part, his family TRIED to sue for wrongful death. That got thrown out thankfully.
