I have a Peerless oil boiler the aquastat is set at
Low 170 Hi 190
But the Guage on boiler is only reading 125
PSI IS 18

It has a tankless coil I have the hot water running in the shower and the boiler kicks on and runs but shuts down when gauge reads 125

Your gauge doesn't work. To confirm, take a food thermometer, put it in a small pot of water in the sink. Run the hot water into the pot.
Why is the low limit set to 170?
You should also have a mixing valve to prevent scalding

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Maybe it doesn't work, That's a good guess.....there is a heat compound that is good to use in the wells of the probes...One quick question, what type of system is it high mass or low mass? Is there a boiler bypass installed? Asking because as always a pic should be posted so we can tell what kind if install we are dealing with.?
