Gas Boiler is rusting on the wall and pump pipe

my gas boiler on one side where the pump connects has started to rust. The Pros say I need to replace it as it would break and leak CO2 and water at any time. I am still using it for few hours and its working and heating fine. I am confused with several options considering a carrier infinity heat pump at 4 ton with a new 100k 97% furnace in attic. My water tank in basement is 20 yrs old. The Pros tell me to replace that as well. I am hearing bad stuff about combos and about tankless water heaters.
Also putting furnace in attic for New Jersey could not work out and Heat Pump won't be effective in 30 degrees or below.
Any suggestion on which system should I buy. The cheapest option is to just replace the water tank and boiler with a low performing system at 80%

Going to need more information than that. What is your current system? Was a heatloss done by the contractor to size whatever equipment they are proposing? Do you currently have anything in the attic? It sounds like you have forced hot water heat why would you want to get rid of that? That is some of the most comfortable heat there is. Give more details on your system and house and someone may be able to comment.0
