Corrosion on heat lines at boiler

Four years ago we installed/modified piping at a boiler to add radiant zones. I got a call from the owner that they were seeing some corrosion on some of the piping. We used black steel pipe and added some brass ball valves. The corrosion is only happening on the boiler side of the valves. Any idea why this is happening. See pictures attached.

What's the water chemistry like? Is there an auto-feeder in use?

What type of tubing was used for the radiant? Non-barrier or plumbing pex allows O2 into the system and thus supports corrosion.

But it also looks like a basic leak on the threads.

Checking water quality is always a good idea.

I agree with Bob, it looks like a thread leak. If the bottom of the valve was done like the top it looks like not enough thread sealant was used.

It has had a small leak from day one.

I don't see any evidence of thread sealant, of any kind.
