Diverter Tee System

I have touched on this before, but really never got a full answer. I know that monoflow one pipe loops need one diverter in the return side of the radiation. I am also aware that TWO are needed in both supply and return if radiation is below the loop. My question is are diverters needed in two pipe direct return or two pipe reverse return loops when circulating water DOWN? Also, if using a PEX manifold system, will hot water flow evenly through all circuits circulating below the loop? For instance, if utilizing four port manifolds at ceiling height, will water circulate evenly through 1/2" pex to four rads 9' below? Again, this is all about circulating hot water down. We know that hot water, especially water approaching 180 degrees, wants to go up, not down.
