Replaced a very sad Weil Mclain GV boiler. TT110 was the boiler of choice...Efficiency came out in the area of 95.6%.. and best part, should be a bit easier to service.....

    And the GV was so high tech for its time. What's with each zone having a pump and zone valve. Never understood that logic.

    I would be willing to bet they were having problems w/ ghost flow on those zones so they forced the flow to stop w/ the zone valves.

    The GV wasn't piped to specs which I'm sure caused most of their issues. As far as how long, 2 men 12 hours. We also had to change the incoming gas piping due to being undersized. They were running 400k on 40' of 1/2 black iron pipe...

    HEC-2 is being replaced by the VT-2218, which also comes with traditional green paint.

    I figured that was happening once I saw the info on the new VT pumps.

    The VT-2218 still has a small dime size decal with a bumblebee right next to the nice large screen...
