Nothing too special. Just a Lochinvar Armor serving DHW. Figure I'll keep up with posting job photos. I'll be showing off some monster size systems that we've been servicing. Fun, fun , fun.

Nice clean install. I like the open top tee on the condensate line (reminds me of a refrigeration detail.)
No PP venting?0 -
The tee is the vent for the trap inside the boiler. Of course, we see them plugged/capped all of the time.
About the venting...apprently, Lochinvar is fighting to approve PVC for venting use. Two of our other techs were at their training facility a few weeks ago, and they were told that we (the company) would be backed and supported by Lochinvar in the event of any dispute over the venting. We'll see how that plays out, though.0 -
Nice job! Boy, doesn't it suck to have such a small mechanical room to work in! What is that green pipe/hose coming out of the copper pipe on the ceiling?
What is the new company name and what areas do you service? There's nothing like referrals.0 -
Schedule 80 for the first 6 feet I'm told.0

So this is where you've been hiding
Fat chance, unless Lochinvar plans on making PVC/CPVC themselves. Current PVC/CPVC manufacturers have no incentive to do so.JStar said:About the venting...apprently, Lochinvar is fighting to approve PVC for venting use. That green thing is the water feed for the future heating boiler. It looks like it's coming out of the larger pipe, but that's just an illusion.RobG said:Nice job! What tank are you using and your thoughts on it.Are you installing a mixing valve on it?Any concerns about butting the circ so close to boiler.I have never installed that boiler but heard a lot of good things.I didn't see a 4inch steam header anywhere.....0

So are you done turning wrenches? What's your role in the new company, design, bids and consulting? I'm sure you'll do great however we now have one less Jersey mechanic to recommend to homeowners.0
