hello
I heard about a noncondensing wall hug gas fired boiler with a copper heat exchanger that you can direct vent without a chimney using PVC. do you know of such a boiler?

The CuB boiler is Cat 1 or Cat III vent. You can not vent it with PVC. You can use PVC for the intake. The exhaust vent can go into a properly lined masonry chimney, or a B-vent style chimney(Cat I) or sidewall with AL29-4C stainless steel(Cat III).
The Cat I vent connector(pipe running from the unit to the chimney) should be B-vent.0
