Mechanics Institute, an educational program of The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen, is accepting applications for tuition-free evening programs for the Fall 2015 semester. Space is extremely limited at this time and we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your seat.
Registration in the following programs is available:
The following programs begin Monday, September 14, 2015, 5:00 p.m.

Plumbing Design
HVAC Systems Design
Introduction to AutoCAD
Intermediate AutoCAD

The following programs and courses begin Tuesday, September 15, 2015, 5:00 p.m.
Construction Project Management Full
Blueprint Reading
Construction Cost Estimating
Introduction to AutoCAD
Intermediate AutoCAD
Introduction to Revit
All programs are open to individuals employed in the building and construction industry.
Classes meet two days per week.
Each class meets two hours per evening, for twelve (12) weeks.
Applicants must apply in person at the Institute.

Dear Industry Colleague,
The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen will be offering the following AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) classes starting Tuesday, September 15th.
Introduction to AutoCAD
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
September 15 - December 3
The educational objective of this course is to provide students with a working knowledge of the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Design (CAD), utilizing AutoCAD. The course focuses on the principles and conventions of CAD as used by the drafting/engineering professional, including Drawing Tools, Poly-lines, Layers, Text, and Dimensioning.

Introduction to Revit
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
September 15 - December 3
This class introduces the students to the essential features and functionality of Revit (Architecture, Structure and MEP). Through lectures and hands on exercises, the student will learn about Building Information Modeling (BIM), navigate through program interface, manage views and master the basic concepts of BIM modeling.
