Water meters

It is beyond dry in the West and definitely here in California. I am on a well, a good well, and have replaced every faucet, appliance, etc which consumes water. All my garden water is drip, but I would like to see actual consumption numbers just to define the discipline. Soon I will be rebuilding the well house and would like to install a water meter. What is available and reasonable cost?
