Rebate Program for new heating system

My mother who is a senior citizen bought a home in the Western Mass area and the heating system is very old and the furnace is not working properly and the hot water heater does not work at all. She wanted to convert to gas but with the moratorium they will not add her as a customer. Is there any rebate programs for oil heat? I am very upset with this whole gas "shortage" occurring. She is a senior citizen right now has a heating system that needs to be replaced. Gas would allow for her to budget her payments. At this point if she needs to go with oil she will but it would be nice if there were any rebate programs out there. Thank you.

Currently mass save has an early boiler retirement program going on. Beginning in April if a your furnace is over 12 years old you may be eligible for the rebate. If you have a boiler your rebate could be $1,700.00. If you have steam heat your rebate is $1,900.00. Fuel switching is not part of this program however with higher efficient equipment oil and propane equipment can qualify for good rebates.

Mass save also offers zero percent financing on qualified equipment as well. www.masssave.com and schedule an energy audit.
