If you lower them "A" side temperature to the heat exchanger, any heat exchanger, you lower then performance or output. That may or may not be acceptable for your needs. Recovery time will lengthen.
No harm in dialing it down, it's adjustable so you have options.

Ps. As far as I understand maximum efficiency of the boiler is achieved when you lower the output to your desired needs. Pretty much same as heat modulation, its heating up the house with low water temps and you save money on gas because it doesn't have to heat it up all the way to 180+ when its not needed0
