I've looked at this thing in the local cemetery my entire life. My wife gets no amusement from it. Finally, this might be the place to share this image. So, there is a reason to save short pipe lengths after all??

Is it stone or metal?
Nice design, and completely realistic, down to a little excess pipe dope spilled on it!--NBC0 -

Good one BobC!--NBC
Were any wrench marks carved in?--NBC0 -
I looked for wrenching but 110 years may have worn them away. The wrench work might have been all on the plug ends.
I would say the pipe has aged well, yes? Good sandhills water here.
Does any one recognize the trademark on the cross fitting?
In my 66 years I have never seen a flower on this site, so this is the most remembrance/recognition that will be given.0 -

I wonder who the pipefitter in the family was, husband or son? Very cool!0

Someone will want propress or stainless steel. Talk about the rising cost of funerals0

Nice work of art. Surprised no one has stolen and scrapped it. Sad that thieves even target grave sites0
