Main Vent Question

The previous home owner put a 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch bushing in the main vent and had one hoffman 20 there. I wanted to take out the bushing but it seems to be stuck to the pipe. I tried PB Blaster twice and used the red plumbing pipe wrench but it won't move. Afraid if I stress too much the bushing might break. I don't have much height space so reciprocating saw won't do. My question is, can I add a 1/4 nipple about 6 inches, T it and add two gorton 2 or should i just add the 1/4 nipple and use one gorton 2. Would 2 gorton 2 cause too much condensate for the 1/4 inch nipple to handle or should I play it safe and use one gorton 2.

That bushing was installed well before the "previous owner" unless the house was in the same family since it was built. And it's going to be difficult to remove. Normally we'd use an impact wrench after first heating the tee outside the bushing, but you don't have room for that.

1/4" pipe is way too small for a Gorton #2. How long is the main and what pipe size?

Is this on the dry return, with a vertical drop underneath?
Is there a union nearby, to permit the replacement, or turning (for drilling) of that 90?
Could the drop be drilled and threaded? Main vents can be installed in that location, with elbows, to keep them horizontal.--NBC

That's the end of main where it drops into the wet return, there is a union right before it, not sure if the drop can be drilled since its the wet return, my concern is should such old pipes be messed with, would they all be stuck like the bushing

here's a picture right before main, the last pipe going up the ceiling goes to the bedroom, there's about a 8 to inch nipple before it goes into the wall, can that one be cut, put two unions and a T in the middle to add venting? thats the only thing i can think of.

That 1/4" opening should be able to accommodate one Gorton #2 which is rated at 1.1CFM @1 oz of pressure and 1.75CFM @ 2 oz of pressure. With 30 ft of 2" pipe, you should be OK. No way you will get any value out of a second Gorton #2.
