in Oil Heating
Hello, trying to figure out the age of our furnace in our new house. Has a terrible oil smell when on, going to replace but just curious.
I'm not sure which of these is the serial number. "No-Am 547114" or "MH-15544 UL"

It is at least 20 years old. Eneroyal has been gone at least that long.0

Thank you Jack, it certainly looks old. Quite the monster. Hoping to switch to gas ASAP. The smell of oil is bad when it runs. Never had oil experience at all.0

Your furnace most likely just needs a really good burner man to service it. Oil smell is most commonly incomplete combustion.....remedied by a good servicing.0
