    That 40/40 with the 3" smoke pipe jammed into the pvc was in a million dollar home. I asked if anyone had died recently, they asked me to leave............the 3" goes side wall to a cloths dryer termination.
    The other property had a small glacier forming and starting to migrate across the walkway. So when exiting that door, put your ice skates on first!

    Handymen get $25.00 per hour and the homeowners love them.

    It's the plumbers/heaters that the homeowners hate when they charge them for fixing handy Billy's Mess-ups.

    How in the world would that pass inspection? I like the 1-1/2" tappings on the hot water heater reduced down to 3/4". At least they painted the gas line yellow! ;) They must have run out of pipe to use on the relief valve.

    I think that A.O. Smith owns John Wood Water heaters.

    I think that water heater is a "Commercial" type and can be ganged up for higher outputs. When ganged up, they want to keep pressure loss to a minimum.

    And the flue pipe that has to drop close to a foot.
    Burners not 18" above the floor.
