Automatic water feed

New boiler last year installed and an automatic water feed. It continues to shut down approx. 3 times a season.
last night at 4 a.m. It read low water so I pushed the water feed button for maybe 5 seconds. Now there is water all over the floor but the boiler won't start? The automatic water feed box reads "LOC."
Thanks in advance for your help

If LOC appears in the digital counter, this indicates that the safety lockout feature is activated. This feature
only when the feeder completes two consecutive feed cycles and the low water cut-off does not re-ener- gized the burner. The feeder can be reset by briefly interrupting power to the heating system. Important: The following trouble shooting steps should be taken to determine the cause of the lockout condition before restoring normal operation.
    1. If the boiler is overfilled, the low water cut-off is not functioning properly. Using the manufacturer’s instructions, check the low water cut-off operation.
    2. If the boiler is in low water:
    a. Check boiler and return piping for leaks.
    b. If no leaks are detected, check to determine if the flow of the feeder is restricted. Check isolation valves around feeder to ensure they are fully opened.
    c. Check the feeder setting to ensure that it is set to feed adequate water in the event of a low water condition.

Where did all the water on the floor come from?

The boiler was installed last year. Did they Skim the boiler? More than once? If the boiler was not adequately skimmed, the oils from the new boiler/piping will float on the surface of the boiler water and cause the water in the boiler/sight glass to bouce violently, making the Low water cut-off think the boiler is low on water and send a call to the Auto water feeder for more water. When the boiler is not running, is the water leveel in the sight glass higher than it should be? If so, that is likely your problem and you need to skim that boiler, very slowly, for several hours and maybe repeat that process 2 or 3 times at 1 to 2 week intervals. Once all the oils are out of the boiler, the water should not bounce more than 1/2" to 3/4".
