    One of my closest friends has pulled toys from other peoples garbage cleaned them up and given them to his son for Christmas. Yes they were broken, but not so bad they couldn't be played with. His value system is drastically different from mine, but he isn't the only person out there like that. These are the people all of us have to deal with.

    The difference being....You are entrusted to deliver the "value" based on the customers expectations, not yours. If you haven't taken the time to understand their expectations, it isn't likely that they will ever see the value, or appreciate it. That will define the difference between, complete success, partial failure, or complete failure.
