Insulating Steam line

Does it make any sense to insulate a one pipe steam system. Was on a job today to replace a LWCO and the customer had the whole line insulated. My thought was it should be un-insulated.

The mains in a one-pipe system have to be insulated. If they're not insulated the pipes are actually undersized and will act as radiators. If the boiler is properly sized you might have problems getting steam to the furthest rads.0
