So this is not a problem but I know people lurk here. I had my fuel converted to gas and cannot believe the improvement to my steam heating system! My plumber had explained to me that oil was overkill for steam (which was likely designed for coal in our 1925 house) but I never got what he meant until now. It's a gentle, quiet heat after years of banging and hissing. Unbelievable. If you are considering it, do it!
BTW we did a burner conversion on the boiler, there were a few glitches I put in another post but they were worked out.
