Drop header with 90 degree ELL to the system mains

Hello, Installing the Near Boiler Piping on Burnham IN5 and I am using the drop header and both riser from the boiler. Having 24" above the boiler. The header on the drop, if I go straight out to connect the two system main I would hit the wall of the house. Could I install 90 ELL after the last riser Tee with a 6" nipple then the elbow and pipe as normal to the system main and return. See attach picture

+1 on that...did it on mine (see link in signature). Also helps get a little extra distance between mains and boiler to help settle things down and separate steam from water which is the ultimate goal.0

great drop header !!! I have the same IN 5 and plan on doing wi the same thing this summer . With the IN 5 is 3 inch good ? 4 inch would be over kill?0

3" is fine. 4" is probably a bit over kill.0
