New Spirotherm Quad, Caleffi 548 or B&G PSH

My brother and I are trying to do a little research to see how many contractors are using any of the products I mentioned in the title. He is a hydronic contractor in NY and I'm in VA and we have been discussing these. It's great that we now have the option to combine air elimination, dirt seperation and a low loss header all in one. But with the added cost we were wondering just how popular they are. And if you are installing these how are you mounting them to the wall, as most of these installations will be with wall mounted boilers.

Also look at the Caleffi 5495 series. It is a TRUE 4 in 1 device
hydraulic, air, dirt, and magnetic separation. it is also very easily serviced if something gets lodged in the air vent mechanism
Mag separation is becoming a very important function if you are moving to ECM circs.

Consider also the labor savings when you use these multi function devices, compared to P/S piping.

Caleffi gets the nod here . Sep4 Rod mentioned above gets used on every low mass boiler we install . Ideas Bob , a couple or 4 , 1/2" x F lugs welded on the back of them for 1/2" all thread support would be spectacular .
You didn't get what you didn't pay for and it will never be what you thought it would .

I have always used a low loss header but it has always been Viessmann's. And my brother has used Taco's too. We were just interested in changing to a multi-tasking model. We both wondered just what guys were using in these new available combination air seperator / low loss header models that have been introduced, and why. And how they are being mounted because mounting the Viessmann LLH is a little of a pain.

Every Caleffi product I've tried so far has been better in some way than what I was using before. They really have us in mind when they design these products as far as I can tell.
