Hello,
I want to move a steam one pipe radiator about 1 foot away from the shut off valve coming through the floor.
Can this be done?

It can be done. You will have to take the spudout of the radiator, put your extension in the radiator (maybe 9" or 10" pipe) add a coupling on the end of the pipe and put your spud on that coupling and attach it to the valve. In all probability you will have to replace the valve as I doubt you can get the spud out of the radiator without damaging it and spuds/valves are matched pairs so new vale, new spud. May be a lot of work for a 1 foot relocation.0
