If i am using PVC for the vent and air, does the 1st 7 feet have to be CPVC? or did I read it wrong in the manual?

Do yourself a favor and use one of the alternative vent materals that are listed in the manual .I would suggest either the polyprolene or stainless steel sooner or later it will be manadated as it is most other countries .The polyproplene vent materal is not over the top expensive but to myself neither is when your talkin proper venting and safety .peace and good luck clammy
