Schedule 40 vs. Schedule 80 for Wet Returns

We are starting a project where the owner wants to replace the wet returns. Any thoughts on using Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 for a low pressure (less than 2-psig) system. The wet returns are all 2-inch.

Sorry, no. I should have been more specific. I'm looking to use threaded carbon steel piping.0

Another option for WET returns is copper. I wouldn't do sch 80 the sch 40 should last beyond the life of the homeowner.1

Awesome, confirmed my thoughts on this issue. Thank you!0

Schedule 80 is standard procedure for steam condensate piping in commercial and industrial plants. I can't say I have ever seen it used in a house. It will last longer though. The difference in diameter is not enough to be concerned with.0
