recommend a straight steam radiator vent

I'm going to install Danfoss TRV's & I have read some negative reviews on their 1/8'' straight radiator vents. That those vents make to much noise. Would I be able to use a straight Varivalve vent on it? Would someone be able to recommend a good quality 1/8'' steam radiator vent to go onto the TRV's. Thanks

Try a Hoffman #40 (Straight may be #41?)0

What do the #'s represent on the vent? Example #40 hoffman, what does the 40 mean?0

I'm not sure it means anything other than a numbering scheme for hoffman. The #40 vent is an angled vent that vents .042 cfm @ 1 ounce of pressure, the #41 is a straight vent that vents .058 CFM at 1 ounce per minute @ 1 ounce of pressure. They are virtually the same vent except I think the #41 vents a little faster because it doesn't have the resistence that the 90 degree angle creates.
Gorton also makes straight radiator vents, of varying capacities. The goal is to vent radiators slowly and many of the pro's like the Hoffman #40/41's.1 -
Thanks a lot0
