mine must be a small system, one side of 2"header feeds 2 rads 1 on a riser and one on the end of 11/4 main 27' long,it tees up to rad and reduces down to 3/4 "return, other side of header supplies 11/2"main to furthest bedroom, bath is on 11/4" riser,2 other bedrooms are on 1"main,these return to same line and return to boiler.i plan to insulate and install one gorton #2 on each return 12" above return before it goes into boiler, does this sound right, you can check all my pics to see if im making sense.please check my math I figure this rad is 38hx7acrossx4sections I figure 16 edr am I close

That radiator is indeed 16 square feet.

How long is the 1-1/2" main?

could be just me,or the way I am looking at it….put a level on that header and see if it pitched….Things just look a little to level to me?

the header is level may favor the supply side (right side in pic of downstairs boiler)(bubble on line)slightly,is this a good or bad thing, also I have 21' of 11/2 supply main with 3"risers coming off to bedrooms end of 11/2 main supplies furthest bedroom.i just received my gortons and y strainers plan to install sat, installing vertically does the arrow go up or down,if I heat old fittings it should help break them loose right?thanks
