In the new year my company is switching to a app called servicemax. Has anyone used field service software or heard of this company before? I'm wondering what to expect, I know all are technicians are getting iPads but that's about all I know so far. The company, servicemax, sent us this paper to read if you want to check it out I though it was interesting, kinda focuses on the future for field techs (you have to fill out form though) :

I didn't look at the app your company is proposing, but used one called ifleet. It was flat rate based as I think they all are. Are you the business owner?0

No, I'm a technician for the company. I asked about ifleet- they are very basic with their capabilities, but they are cheap. I guess Servicemax (more expensive) but was the only option that covered every aspect of field service (scheduling, parts, technicians, client info, warranty info ect). And the company is built on salesforce..I think it's like a facebook for business?0

I would suggest that you look at...
