Banging zone valves

We have the same problem that Dan described in his article. The honeywell rep told us that the series 5000 zone valves will solve this problem. (if I have one. They denied that is was the zone valve.) Has anyone tried these valves?

installed with the correct flow direction? Is the circulator correctly sized? Consider a PAB or a delta P circa if you have multiple zone valves.
