Transformers 24vac, 26.5vac, 27vac, etc.

As the title alludes, this thread is on transformers. When shopping for transformers, there are many choices. I usually pick up what the supply house carries so I am never without a few.

Which one for which application?

While on the talk about transformers, how many of you install fuses on secondary side?

Thanks in advance.

We use mostly FDI Power Supplies, which take care of a bunch of code requirements and make for a neat installation.

I think the 26.5 and 27 VAC transformers are just 24VAC. They are probably listing no load voltage which can vary between 26-28VAC.

And no.. I don't think I've ever fused secondaries...
