For the water heating main pipe, there are many (more than 10) 90 degree turns (turn left\right and turn up and down). I am wondering does it worth to use two 45 turn elbows instead of just one 90 degree elbow?

It is always better to use 45, if the space permits. Half the pressure drop and if you can lay it out correctly, it makes it look like a mechanic did the work. Well, at least that is the way I see it.
Basic lay-out for 45's is C-C X 1.414- make in. Now that I've put that out may the floodgates open with more advanced lay-out info.0 -
