Things need to do for a new CI baseboard installation

I am installing #9 CI baseboards in my family room which is an addition of the old house. The CI baseboards are old new baseboards. They are from 30 yrs ago (1982) and they are NOT used before. They are in very good shape with all accessories bags with typewritered invoices.
I did some cleanup so I can easily put threaded parts in and also join them with nipples.
I also vacuum the baseboards and do get some sand and small debris out off the baseboards.
Is there anything I need to do (more cleanup?) before I put water in?
What should I do with water before officially put them in use?
Basically I am asking steps to finish a new CI baseboard water heating branch.
Thanks
