Low Pressure cut off ? Ducane
heathead
Member Posts: 237
I have a Ducane R22 4 ton unit that the low pressure switch started not working. Ducane say it only has a high pressure switch by the model number, or thought a different time contacting them that it has discontinued the low pressure switch. I know it low pressure because it is in the suction line before the scroll compressor. I put a universal 20 cut out and 50 reset in it but would like to know if this is a good PSI range. The model is 2AC13L48P-1.

that fine
You would be ok with that.It sould never open if your system is leak free. The only thing i dont like about that is you have no lockout relay on it.So if you ever get low on freon your condenser going to sit there n cycle on and off on pressure switch until the tech arrives.0 -
I wouldn't have expected either switch in that unit. But I think you put on the right switch. Very few units have any kind of lockout on them, they do what don says, just sit there on & off. I don't like it but a lockout would cost another $5.0
