Thin slab radiant heat

I'm currently in the process of switching our farm house heating from a boiler to geothermal. Previous owner had half the house heated with cement slab, while the other half was poorly installed with underfloor heating. I was originally going to reinstall the underfloor tubes (add plates, insulation), but I've been debating ripping up the wood floor and either installing pex with plates between sleepers, or finish off the rest of the floor with a thin slab.
I'm leaning towards the thin slab, but was wondering if anyone had any input on this. Most of the posts I've found were older 2005-2009 and wasn't sure if any info Ina's changed since then.
