    Another poorly maintained pool heater....There should be mandatory inspections every 3 months for these systems. I'll never go into a hotel without my personal CO meter.

    Many failures with this story

    The medical examiner had the results that the first couple who died in that room, died from CO but was overworked and neglected to send the results to the authorities.  This could have prevented the second deaths. The motel manager tried  to keep the room unoccupied but another clerk moved the mother and child into it anyway.    When you add the mechanical and inspection mistakes,  it becomes exasperating.  

    What I find odd is the motel MANAGER is in legal trouble even though he hired licensed people to do the work, and the guy who did the work in spite the equipment manufacturer saying it shouldnt be done is still out there working while his case is in appeals.

    They should have upgraded

    to DVDs years ago.

    MP3's

    I don't know about you guys but I only use CAT2014-litigation rated ice buckets and MP3 players for venting supports. The MP3 players have a much higher temp and smoke and flame spread rating than videocassettes AND Cd's. Get with the times guys!
