Difference between limit control and Intellicon HW+

I'm planning to replace my current oil boiler with a Peerless WBV and an indirect water heater this fall. Apparently these boilers come with either a HydroLevel 3250 or Beckett S7600 Limit Control. But I've also been reading about the Intellicon HW+, which as far as I understand delays firing the boiler when it detects residual heat in the hydronic piping that can circulate first. What does the Intellicon HW+ do that these standard limit controls don't? I don't mind investing a little extra for oil savings but I don't want to invest in redundant controls if the standard controls more or less do the same thing.
Thanks,
Bill
