Eliminating pipe dope smell

Hey guys-

So hooked up a radiator in our sunroom a few months ago, and the room still smells like pipe dope, which bothers my wife quite a bit.  Anybody have any smell mitigation tips?  I've just tried wiping the excess pipe dope off with water, but still it lingers.

Thanks,

Kyle

    if it is pipe dope

you are smelling, it will cook off. If it is a new radiator, or new piping, and if (lot of if's, sorry) it is a one pipe with vent, you may be smelling the oils from pipes or radiator venting out. into room This happened to me. I installed 2 nbr 2 gorton vents at the end of main and something smaller to vent radiator.. then flushed boiler realy good. That did the trick for me.

    IMO

It might be easier to get rid of the wife (only joking)

As my girlfriend is looking over my shoulder.

    Thanks

Thanks, guys!  I probably should have done this repair earlier in the heating season so it would have more time to cook off.
