Ever get a "tip"from a customer?

No Spence,it was not to learn more about ductwork! I repaired a waste oil heater in a Meineke Car Shop, the owner gave me a 30lb cylinder of  Freon R-12! WHAT! You don't know what R-12 is ?I guess I'm a little older then some!

    R12

Shoot no one in my area would even want any r12.Most system has been converted if not they are due for replacement.

I always decline tips. Not that I would not like it for the beer funds. It has just been my experience that most that tip will expect a discount of some sort on your next visit.

Now Days I try to keep it strictly business. And if we are charging correctly then no tipping is required.I just thank them for the offer and kindly tell them it is company policy not to take tips.I have not had to say that in a very long time.lol
