Measureing compressor resistence

Member Posts: 2,144
The only way to know what resistence the motor windings is supposed to be is to contact the comp mfrg. Start a collection of each comp mfrg "Electrical Handbooks" like Copeland, Bristol, Tecumseh. Besides resistences there is info on 1phase start and run components. Some 3ph comps can have 0.44 ohms, or 1.234 or 0.562 or 1.987. The supply houses are SUPPOSED to have the handbooks or can get them for you..Hope this helps

Yup
I'm on it! It would be great if they printed the values right on the label.

Thanks.
