Can you convert an A.O. Smith water heater from Natural Gas to Propane?

    Depends on the model

    I converted a used gps 75 200 ao smith from lp to ng a while back, it was a direct vent model. give them a call with your model number they will have the best answer for you... It may not be worth the effort and cost, tanks arent that expensive and don't last a really long time, so if you have a 5 year old tank and its going to cost 1/2 of the cost of a new tank, it may be better to buy a new tank...
