Repair Main Vent

I have a main vent that keeps venting. I removed it and soaked it in CLR but that didn't fix it. I ordered a new one online but should I have done something else to fix it or is it just best to replace it?

    replace it

    I lost a Hoffman 75 the same way, couldn't fix it so I replaced it.

    Time to replace it

    It's time to replace it. They last a long time but when they go, they're gone. Main vents are too important to skimp on.
