Instant hot w/existing boiler or modcon

Have 12yr old burnham series 8 boiler that provides hot water as well as radiant heat. Thinking of provding hot water with instant hot system and use burnham for heat only or should I convert the burnham to a modcon system and keep my hot water/ heat off the one system. Thanks
