Do you use the recirc tap, or do you pipe it into the cold inlet? We have been having some trouble with water temps on these units when doing change outs from existing conventional water heaters with recirc in the cold inlet. I am wondering if its the recirc causing the large dhw temp swings or something else. 20 degree swings to turn on aquastat is not uncommon. Also some units overshoot (stacking?). We have always put aux high limit strap on aquastats on these units but do not want to rely on them.
